Shipping Vessel Carrying Vehicles Suffers Damage The MOL-operated ship MOL Comfort sustained a crack to its hull at around midday JST (07:00 local time) on June 17, 2013, reported Koichi Muto, President of TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. The incident, which occurred during the vessel’s journey from Singapore to Jeddah, was caused by inclement weather and resulted in water ingress into the hold, to such an extent that the MOL Comfort was unable to continue under its own power.
